Art and Animation for the National Literacy Trust. I created the art and did the animation for this short informative video to help children choose books they will enjoy.
Animated Music Video for the song Known by Daisy Harris. I created this video from concept to completion, using my frame by frame animation style.
My favourite part of the process is coming up with the concepts and direction and then storyboarding the project. I have included my storyboard images here and below for the Known music video
An example of the initial storyboard stage where it is pure chaos and scribbling vision to paper (or iPad). I create my storyboards for music videos by listening to the song and making notes of the visuals that appear in my mind. And then I fine-tune them!
Something I enjoy doing in my animations is creating a flow from scene to scene. Rather than cutting from a scene in one landscape to a scene in another, I like to find a way to link them together visually, as though you’re moving through a dream, moving through the universe and time to each memory or experience.
